We're LOCALS!

This morning we're off to stalk a movie star -namely CHEETAH from the Tarzan movies! (yes, our neighbours SWEAR he is THE cheetah and close to a million years old) I told you we live in the movie stars playground - Cheetah lives about 5 minutes from our place! Luckily not any closer because when you park outside Cheetahs house, in addition to the klassy "Casa de Cheetah" wall art, you can kind of smell that this is where he lives. His neighbours must be DELIGHTED!

Following the cheetah excitement we head to the uptown arts district to poke about our favourite store DAZZLES - I LOVE the owner and EVERY kooky thing he has - tragically it is all slightly pricey and the two vintage outdoor pendant lights we fall in love with are close to $600 -OUCH! We decide to sleep on it (and hopefully find $600 in our sleep)

Grant heads off to Snip Snip Buzz for a new coiffure and peter and I head to the office depot to admire all the pretty stationery, pens and ipod covers - I HEART stationery stores.

After the do we all head to the AMAZING mid century building that houses the bank of America. Grant and i open an account! We're LOCALS!! As we leave the bank the man from Dazzles is there and waves and says hi and tells us about some fabulous 50's car he is trying to buy - its a complete Grafton moment - we're REALLY locals!

We celebrate by taking Peter to our favourite old school new york style deli, "Shermans" and order a pastrami sandwich that has enough pastrami for four sandwiches in it!

To top off our day of awesomeness and weirdness we head to the Home Depot (on Peter's MUST VISIT list). We get a new LETTERBOX!!! Yipee! a traditional american letterbox with a red flag on the side, just like in the movies - i LOVE it! - and of course NOW all we need is for YOU to send us some mail!
