The lovely Miss Rusty Frank has come to stay!
We have a lovely champagne lunch by the pool (did i mention moet and chnadon is $35 a bottle here - we wash our feet and dishes in it darling!)
Then we are off to do a spot of retro shopping down Palm Canyon Drive - if you had a million squillion dollars you could furnish your house to perfection in one afternoon. Sadly I only have two brass farthings and a dazzling smile which isn't getting me very far.
My favourite store is Dazzles - LOTS of vintage kitsch of every nature - but sadly no bargains. In one store I spot the EXACT side table i am after - of course it is an Eames original and is a lazy $1300. -I really didn't like it that much anyway.
I want every single thing in the Trina Turk store - everything is fabulous, do you hear me EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to be dragged out kicking and screaming and clinging on to the leg of a two seater couch that has suddenly given meaning to my hollow shell of a life.
Here we are in the shag store - my kind of store - when we ask if we can take our picture in this kooky corner the lass says "of course - would you like the props box?" oh happy days.
As the sun goes down we head for home as we are off to the origianl Melvyn's this evening for dining and dancing - and to hopefully find $1300 that someone has casually dropped on the floor.
