Today's thrift store find

We're off on a driving tour with Miss Rusty - first stop, our favourite coffee spot - koffi. Koffi is very popular with confirmed bachelors, and my earblobs are GLUED to eavesdropping on a table of bears discussing Raymond Burr. These gents are PASSIONATE about Raymond burr I tell you!

Also best thing heard not meant for my ears - "how was that rain last week - I thought Noah's ark was coming when I saw two bears on palm canyon drive" - superb.

Rusty buys four little cowboy boots for her friends puppy in the gayest petshop in gayville, and we get chatting to the lovely proprietor, who is one of the organisers of Modernism Week - He asks if we'd be willing to open our home to an architecture tour - my sides almost split on the spot as I have seen pictures of the pristine vintage homes usually open for the tour - maybe next year darling.

we have lunch at our favourite ACE hotel (and take our photo in their photo booth - I look like a serial killer in all of them)

We stop at our favourite thrift store for a shopping frenzy - my collection of vintage record albums is starting to look impressive even though we have failed to actually find our dream stereogram to play them on - d'oh!

The vintage game of CUT UP is the best $3.00 I have spent in a LONg time - I still can't work out how to play - there is a timer, some scissors, some money, these plastic dolls, LOTS of fabulous clothes and wigs for them, a cardboard shop with a clothes rack and some pegs - no clue what happens next ..... but the rules do stipulate that all wigs are $6.95, which does seem reasonable......

anyhoo - time to glamorise - we're off to the follies!
