Dinner Party!

I hope you're notating my new MISSONI (for Target) puzzle plates in this picture. FABULOUS. And we have new fairy lights on the monstrosity - happy flattering light filled days.

Tonight, in honour of the COBBLER test kitchen we are having a lovely dinner party with the boysenberries, our lovely gaybours Gene & Joseph, and their friends Perry & Doug.

Here is what costs a FRACTION of what it costs in Australia - French Champagne and Lobster Tails. Here's what we have at every opportunity: French champagne and Lobster Tails. This place continues to be tailored to my dream specifications.

Gene & Joseph had previously been exposed to my lack of hostessing skills when it was revealed this house does not have salt & pepper shakers, a butter dish, or salad servers (I know: we live like cave men here) They have delightfully bought me the most glamorous salad bowl and salad servers EVER as a lovely hostess gift. I am furious with myself - we are not having salad!!! (although, if i could magically time travel into the future, I would guess that in a matter of weeks I will be wondering how I ever lived without that salad bowl and salad servers because I am using them ALL the time!)

To compliment the cobbler test kitchen I am wearing betty page, complete with crinoline and happily obey when Gene tells me I really need to add some SHOES to complete the ensemble.

Perry and I are instant best friends - i LOVE him as soon as he screams "PULL THE PEACH" when it seems the peach cobbler may be ready.

Brendon and I are hovering over the Cobbler Test Kitchen in anticipation of dessert. We are very happy with our results and this dinner party is declared to be the best. dinner party. EVER.
