Yikes, our LUGGAGE! We have six pairs of shoes, a plaster poodle, a pucci ice bucket, not to mention two pink flamingos that we didn't have on the flight over - not to mention the clothes, the books and the cocktail shaker!
- and the elvis bobble head!
The airlines are SO strict about the luggage, we are terrified we will have to pay the $100 overweight charge we deserve.
We head to the airport and sure enough we are overweight -oh no! we are going to be the loser buttheads who have to open their luggage in public and try and stuff three pairs of shoes in their handbag!
Then... the Christmas miracle.... the lass at the check in counter takes charge - a passenger just GAVE her a SPARE SUITCASE and we can have it! Then with her wicked luggage skills she instructs us to place 3 pairs of shoes and two pairs of jeans in there and that will weigh exactly the ten pounds overweight we are and we will be all good!
Its a Christmas Miracle!
we frolic to the gate lounge to indulge in some delightfully free wi-fi before jetting back to sunny Palm Springs - yay!
